Prague - Czech Communist Party (KSCM) leader Vojtech Filip is provoking when he praises a Korean tyrant, Karel Steigerwald writes in the Mlada fronta Dnes daily today, referring to the letter of condolences Filip sent on the occasion of the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.

Filip does not care about Kim Jong-il, he only wants to provoke. He wants the police to investigate him and send him to court that would have to strip him of the charges, Steigerwald says.

Filip does this because he wants to appeal to the discontented people who are his voters, Steigerwald writes.

Police should not investigate Filip, he says.

Justice Minister Jiri Pospisil should not comment on the letter of condolences that Filip sent to North Korea, Jindrich Sidlo writes in Hospodarske noviny.

Pospisil should not call on the police to act in Filip´s case. The justice minister is a politician who supervises all state attorneys and he should not advise the police on such issues, Sidlo says.

Anybody who wants homage to Vaclav Havel to divide Czech society should push through the construction of Havel´s memorial, Zbynek Petracek says in Lidove noviny.

Anybody who remembers the problems with the building of a new part of the Prague Old Town Hall or the construction of the National Library after the design by late Jan Kaplicky knows that similar plans are difficult to realise, Petracek writes.
