On Friday, the post office will be opened over Havel's official funeral until 16:00, Selicharova said.
The postmark will bear the date of Havel's birth and death along with his signature and a small red heart, the symbol of his policy during the fall of the Communist regime in November 1989.
The post office is not preparing a new postage stamp with Havel, Selicharova said.
So far, 728.6 million postage stamps featuring former president Vaclav Havel with various values have been issued. They are almost sold out, she added.
Havel, former leading dissident and the first postcommunist Czechoslovak president and later Czech president, died on December 18 at the age of 75, after long-term respiratory problems.
The Prague Castle post office (Hradni posta Praha 012) is situated in the Prague Castle complex opposite St Vitus Cathedral.
It provides services for Prague Castle, the Prague archbishopric, the Presidential Office and the Prague Guard.
