Most respondents are of the view that the cabinet should take the future of the Czech Republic into consideration in its decision-making.
On the scale from one to five, where one is the best and five the worst rating, most respondents assessed the government´s work with four or five.
Right wing supporters expressed more positive opinions about the current government than left-wingers.
A total od 31 percent of Czechs are of the view that the current cabinet is striving hard to solve the major problems of the Czech Republic, compared to 50 percent who shared this view a year ago.
Mainly supporters of the senior government Civic Democrats (ODS) are convinced about the effort of Necas´s cabinet as 63 percent of them think so.
Out of the adherents of another government party, TOP 09, 60 percent expressed this opinion.
On the other hand, only 17 percent of the opposition Social Democrats (CSSD) supporters and 12 percent of the Communists (KSCM) followers think that the government is striving to solve the main problems.
According to 44 percent of the polled, the government should primarily focus on the current needs of the Czech Republic, while 30 percent think it should focus on the next five to ten years, and 26 percent prefer more distant future as the cabinet´s priority.
These results have almost not changed since last year´s poll..
Only 0.3 percent (or four people) assessed the government´s work with the best mark, 10 percent assessed it with two and 32 percent with three. However, the highest share or 35 percent gave it four and 23 percent gave it the lowest rating.
The poll was conducted on a sample of 1227 people over 18 on December 1-9.
